‘It was a day of endless dreams...’

Old panelled walls of a château are pinned with torn photographs; heavy rose heads are taped to the flaking plaster. Light falls in heavy slices and, in another room, the sound of a woman’s silk skirts sweep chestnut floorboards as an unseen hand plucks notes from the piano.
Time is still; the park outside the chateau holds its breath. And the only witnesses to the endless tender dreams of those within the walls... Flowers.
